Rowing boats at waters edge

Another shot from Hornsea Mere. You can't beat messin' about in boats, except for health and safety reasons the proprietors of this relaxin' pastime insist you wear a life jacket. It's a far cry from the fun I had on Hull's East park boating lake as a bairn with my Dad.

Nearly missed this one.....

Bettison's Folly, Hornsea. It's amazing what people used to build in their back gardens.

Hornsea, coastal erosion

As if you needed proof that the clay soil of East Yorkshire is slowing being eroded into the sea. The last image is of the view from the top of the cliff face onto the beach. I didn't feel too safe taking this one.

'Smoke' on the water (Hornsea Mere)

I said it was a bit misty earlier. Here's the proof, in an almost surreal way. Never seen this before.

Messin' about wi' boats at Hornsea mere

As promised some images from Hornsea Mere last Saturday. The weather was superb, bright sunshine, warm, with mist rising from the mere. These are the first images I processed using s7raw. Quality wise, they seem better than I would expect in camera, vibrant, colour saturated, really surprised at the results. Oh, click on the thumbnails and I think you'll see what I mean.

Just a quickie.......

I've been brave and taken the plunge. I've decided to ditch taking photographs with Winona the easy way. I'm now taking shots using 'RAW' . No in camera processing for me. I'm going to be using s7raw to process my images. I downloading a great tutorial, and I'm just waiting to receive the card reader I've ordered from Amazon.

Spent the weekend in Hornsea. Typically there was a lot of sea mist, coastal erosion and the occasional bit of sunshine. Took some interesting shots. Now all I have to do is process them so I can publish them to the web......

That's all for now......
