The great English takeaway

Following on from my 'Moby Dick's' post. I have to say that the English takeaway establishment, the 'chippy' as we call it 'ooop north' is undergoing a bit of a resurgence. Entrepreneurship in the form of new products and an improvement in quality seems to have taken hold in Hull, well at least the 'chippy's' I frequent. 'Reeds' my 'local' is a good example, shame my waistline dictates that I don't visit very often, but that can't be helped. However, I thoroughly recommend their 'Fish and Chips', especially since the Lorraine Street 'Chippy' has gone all continental, and is no longer a strictly Fish and Chips outlet. Their 'mucky haddock' was a favourite of mine, very tasty and done right a very healthy meal in my opinion.
