Bridge

I'm doing something a little different, a collaboration of sorts with good friend and fellow Nelsonian, Vienna. The idea is very simple. I take a photograph and Vienna, uses it for inspiration to write a poem, which I then post on one of my photoblogs along with the image.

Vienna, has composed a lovely poem to go along with my image. It's far better than anything I could come up and I thinks it adds a different dimension to the post here.

Both Vienna, and I would appreciate some feedback. Who knows, make the next one multimedia, original music perhaps as well as some wonderful poetry? Where's Shedley when you need him?

To beer, or not to beer......

That Roger Bacon bloke has a lot to answer for. Not only did he write all of Shakespeare's plays, but he also invented Denmark. Before then it was just 'Land were those people make bacon'.

I'm in a real quandry now. I've run out of lager, and now my Cherry diet coke is runnin' low. It's all the fault of that Nicky in BB7 (uk), childish, petulance and histrionics. Truth be known, she reminds me of my 9yr old niece. I'll be surprised if she's evicted this week.

The Theatre of The Mundane - act I

My sock has a hole in it. An honest hole, one earned through hard work. A hole worn in the pursuit of my daily bread, a hole worn away by safety shoes. A hole safety shoe wearers of this planet can relate to. Not a particularly aesthetically pleasant looking hole, or a hole that is in anyway 'trendy' ie a fashion statement, just a hole in my sock. Possibly an existential sock? Who knows " I have a hole, therefore I am a sock"?

Anyway, not for long. I'm going to darn the hole. Goodbye Sock with a hole, hello darned sock.

Barriers

Barriers are everywhere, physical, illusory, put there by legislation, cultural or spiritual beliefs, peer or social groups, the list is long. What a drag. Doesn't it feel good when you break them?

Same goes for 'rules', or their wimpish sibling
,'guidelines'. Embrace nihilism, be radical, think outside 'the box' do something you'd never dream of doing simply because it's never crossed your mind before.
