Triffids?

Trees are strange, especially after branches have been removed, they just grow some more. One of the daftest looking trees I've ever seen and not far from my 'Crib'. Spotted today whilst taking a slight detour home.

"The Day of the Triffids" is one of my favorite books! It's great to see them (Triffids) mentioned in a blog!

These do seem very Triffid-like, but it seems almost criminal to behead a tree that way! I wouldn't blame them for fighting back. Yikes!
