May bank holiday

Another bank holiday in the UK again, or it must be the weekend or something? Anyway, this usual hive of activity, one of the plethora of vegetable oil refineries on the banks of the River Hull has shutdown for t'weekend, if the carpark being totally deserted is anything to go by. Or perhaps they've all rushed home to catch the first proper eviction of this years Big Brother (UK) 7?

Moi, hasn't posted for over a week, infact the above image is several weeks old, so it's a deception on my part this post. I haven't 'snapped' a sausage for several days, preoccupied with work, my 'Knobblers' as my friend Vienna calls them (my poor knackered knees). So this weekend I aim to chill, watch the latest Dr Who ep, and try and spend some time with my niece, who I haven't seen for far too long.

At the moment I'm listening to a couple of cds I purchased from one of the Hare Krishna monks who occasionally frequent Hull's town centre. I'm not interested in any form of theistic religion myself, but these guys do a lot of goodwork in some of the more impoverished parts of the planet, always have a smile on their faces as opposed to the local C of E clerics. Also it's nice to be able to mention my own dabblings into atheist philosophies/ religions such as Buddhism, which doesn't seem to phase this particular monk I've chatted with on several occasions.

You're invited too. Please read my post from Thursday. Don't miss the comments. :)

Blessings,

Shirley
